WHAT’S NEW

THE PRESERVATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF DAVID DUNLAP OBSERVATORY PARK

In an effort to protect the area surrounding the David Dunlap Observatory the town of Richmond Hill has made official plans to conserve and increase the number of trees and amount of vegetation in the area.

A LOCAL STAR

Anyone who's ever visited the David Dunlap Observatory knows it's an incredibly special place. Not only is it strikingly beautiful, it also carries an aura that's almost surreal; perhaps that's why it was chosen to be a star, -in the figurative sense of course. In 1960 the film "Universe" was released by the National Film Board of Canada, and was met with much praise. It was nominated for an Oscar in the 'best documentary' category the year it was released, and offered some of the most vivid special effects anyone had ever seen....

A HUGELY SUCCESSFUL GRAND OPENING WEEKEND

We experienced a historic moment this last October 27th. We’re very pleased to say that Observatory Hill’s Grand Opening was an incredible success!

BILD Awards 2019 Nomination

We are excited to announce that Observatory Hill has been nominated for The Best New Community in the GTA.

As most of you know, Observatory Hill is a brand new luxurious community, the likes of which the Greater Toronto Area has not seen. In addition to the stellar and luxurious collection of homes planned for the development, the neighbourhood is right alongside the world-renowned David Dunlap Observatory Park. Visitors and community residents alike will enjoy immediate access to gorgeous park space and walking trails, spectacularly designed plazas and gardens, and even the Observatory itself.

This prestigious category of the BILD Awards is now open for public vote! Cast a vote for the community at www.bildpca.ca and put it in the spotlight as the best place to live in the GTA.

Please note voting closes April 15 at 12:00 p.m.
